Bottle that a friend gave me. Served at home in a tulip glass. Hazy dark yellow color, small head and retention, though there's a ring around the glass all the time. Aroma of apples, plums, candied fruits, some cinnamon and spices. Medium body, fhin texture, normal carbonation. Fruity finish. Taste follows the aroma. Pass me another.

A 33cl bottle poured into a teku glass, this is a Belgian Strong Pale Ale at 8%, pouring a massive head (though logical in this teku) lasting for a bit.
Smells orange, Belgian yeast and citrus, I could tell in a blind taste this was Belgian. This is apparently a small family brewery. The taste remind me of Triple Karmeliet, to make a comparison and it does feel more like a tripel than a pale ale. Interesting balance of bitter/sweet.
As usual from Belgian in the style, it's strong yet drinkable, though I just got back from a 2km walk after lunch and needed something I could drink easily while resting a bit and watching Americans sitcom.
Overall this is fairly good, for a first taste, I'm not sure where the person who offered it to me purchased this, in a mall I'd guess and probably not available on the other side of the pond but who knows. It's one among many in the style in Belgium but worthy of a taste, if ever given the chance to sip on it...

Bought at my second visit to the Bierparadijs in Meer, Belgium. Opened swing-top bottle with a gigantic plop. Poured into a Koninck chalice.
fluffy thick foam that lasts forever but not much of a lacing, slightly murky pale orange-yellow body with some carbonation.
smells of Belgian yeast, citric esters and orange, herbs
taste is a fine balance of restrained bitterness and (biscuit?) sweetness, but also some spices that remind me of a Belgian Tripel rather than a Blonde as in the name or as it is categorized here.
great fluffy foam to bite through, body is light but not watery. some carbonation tickles on the tongue.
This a very good and balanced Tripel. It is very well balanced. I wonder why I haven't seen that more often as it stands side by side with the best of its category. I have not a single complaint and I love the fluffy thick head. Definitely a winner.

Nice frothy head, but this beer is tangy and tart and hard on the palate. After sampling some smooth, buttery blonde Belgian beers, this one comes off as harsh. Decent taste, aroma and appearance, but overall presentation is bit difficult.

appearance: like a lemon mergiune pie, bright yellow with a fluffy white head
smell: citrus, honey, typical belgian yeast aroma.
taste: bready and sweet, acidic flavors, lemon
drinkability: overall its a nice belgian ale would match it vs any blonde ale. nice....

Colored grapefruit juice. Fruity aromas including the classic combination of coriander and Curacao. Full flavor, quite fruity but unfortunately, a few notable finish. A passable lager without much originality or great folly, which is struggling to convince anyway.

Tall necked flip-top 33cl bottle, unable to find any best before date.
Poured into a Duvel glass: when I say poured, I really mean gushed into the glass because as soon as I flipped the top it rose like an active volcano all over the table before I could get the glass to it.
The beer was therefore murky and dirty in appearance, a grubby, dull old gold colour. The head was huge, large bubbles of pure white sat above the dishwater looking body of beer.
Really yeasty aroma, almost as strong as when leaning over a fermentation tank during the yeast rising (to a cauliflower head) period. Spicey hops too.
The beer began to settle a bit and it became more of a grapefruit juice colour and thickness. Darker towards the bottom of the glass, as the sediment slowly sank. The taste was semi-sweet and sour, with lemon, pink grapefruit, coriander and pepper all coming and going within the tasting.
The beer was medium bodied once the sediment fully settled and quiet pleasant, just took so long before I could write this about the beer.

I opened the 750ml bottle and the foam began to rise immediately. I quickly poured about 10 ounces into my generic Belgian glass. The beer was pale blond, with a generous head. The smell was typical for a Belgian blond, but not overpowering. The taste was also typical Belgian blond - mild citrus and coriander, but once again, somewhat weak in flavor.
Overall, a mediocre offering, but not bad.

Pours a cloudy yellow.
Smells of citrus.
Taste is lime, citrus, lemon peel, slight pepper, some belgian yeast, candi sugar.
Has a high amount of carbonation but it doesn't take away from the brew.
Overall a good brew that's different than most blondes and offers a bit more complexity.
