Dark amber with one finger head. Nose is herbal, piney, spicy, citrus hops with rich malt, toffee, brown sugar. Flavor is brown sugar malt with some spice and herb. Slight orange. Quite bitter, lightly sweet. Medium thick mouthfeel, softish carbonation.

Aroma is caramel, bready malts and spices. The flavor is fruit/citrus, bread, slightly grainy malts and a mix of tart, warming alcohol and spicy hops in the finish.

Tasted in a Teku glass from a 375 ML bottle on July 24, 2015. Look is cloudy glowing amber, white head and thin lacing. Smells of caramel malts and citrus hops. Taste is caramel and toffee malt, citrus and bitter hop. Smooth carbonation. Interesting beer.

Pours a clear deep orange with a lovely pure white head. Nice to look at.
Nose is a lovely citrus orange/lime but the pilsner tones come through. Pleasant.
Mouth feel is just great. Super well balanced; light carbonation and a real "rich" elegance to this one. Very inviting and one wants another sip immediately.
Taste is rich, bold and earthy. Tastes like a Pilsner that's been a bit on steroids but just a very nice flavor profile and one that will go well with food.
Nice rich pleasing Pilsner bitter finish. Nice beer.

Malty and way too boozy- expected for a 8.5% lager I suppose. A brown bagger indeed...

Pours hazy dark amber with a huge fluffy dirtied white head, slowly receding.
The smell has a lot of tropical fruit, like mango and overripe pineapple, blood orange and pink grapefruit, thick floral notes, biscuit and a faint lagery zestiness.
That's the taste, entirely. But it's mroe complex. The front has canned pineapple, orange and grapefruit juice, on top of a thick caramel glazed biscuity maltiness. Big, perfumey floral notes follow, really bitter, splashed with a nice bit of "wet" Mosaic hoppiness. This leads into a strong, extra bitter grassy finish that even has some light metallic notes.
The aftertaste really takes you back to this beer's lagery roots, with that certain crispness, with a big, simple, straight-forward oxidation-like bitterness stuck down your throat. The malt sweetness is around, but not big enough. Medium to heavy body, medium carbonation.
I was afraid this was gonna be too much of an imperial IPA. Imperial, it is, but the pilsener part is delivered, too. Strongly. Not entirely in love with it, tho. The bitterness (as hugely intense and "simple" as it is) starts to annoy.
