Smells a lot like a rum and coke, and tastes similar; almost like a diet coke and Captain Morgan mixed drink. It's sweet, though I wouldn't say cloying. More...artificial than anything.

L: Big deep brown, minimal cloudy head.
S: That was incredible. Cherry, cognac, caramel, dry fruits, raisins, some red wine notes, toffee, and brown sugar. Quite an exceptional aroma.
T: Tons of toffee, raisins, a good dose of caramel a lot more rich bourbon oakiness. The taste was centered around the sweetness, it's a little spoils the product.
F: Finish is slightly bitter and a unimpressive. Medium mouthfeel.
O: This beer is wonderful, curious how it will age.

Dark mahogany color with light brown head. Aroma is really faint, didn't expect that. Just some dark malts and sugar, a bit of coffee, nuts and dark fruits. Taste starts really sweet with coffee and light brandy notes. Also a bit of chocolate, reminding of coffee filed chocolate pralines. Finish is less sweet, making it not cloying overall. Body stands up to the beer's name. It's heavy, viscous and smooth. Overall it's a nice barleywine but considering it's aged in brandy barrels, I expected some more flavor.
