Copenhagen 25/1 2023. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Black can with patterns of red lines meandering about.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty and roasted odor mingling with subtle citrus and alcohol. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar and a whiff of dark alcohol. Citrus and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a boozy burn. Finish is rather dry and boozy.
Potent and quite heavy Black Indian Pale Ale.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tulip glass. It pours almost ink black with a large, foamy, mocha-colored head and a thin coating of like-colored lacing. Its nose includes roasted malt, burnt espresso, anise, dark fruit, and light floral hops. What surprising flavor! It's far sweeter than I anticipated - almost cloying - with a crazy combination of espresso, cola, chocolate, fig, plum, brown sugar, and pepper. It seemed as though every sip tasted a little different. It has a creamy, thick mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and the 14% ABV is really potent. Sip this one leisurely. Overall, it's a crazy beer. It has an unusual combination of tastes but It's a little too sweet for me to drink regularly. I'm glad I tried it, though.

A lot going on with this beer! Had it in tap into a snifter. Very dark brown with a nice brown head and good lacing. Dark roasted malt smell. Taste tended to change with rising temperature.
Initially nutty flavor with strong vanilla notes, a bit of strawberry. Soon chocolate, cola and toffee comes in, giving a stout like taste. There is definitely some citrus hops in the background for some fruit and floral smell and taste. Some honey and cinnamon as it warms, maybe even some cherry and dark berries. Wild ride!
Smooth, rich feel.

Opaque blackness in the glass, topped with a fat, dense, creamy head; sheets of sticky foam cascade down the inside of the glass. Deep, sensual roasted grains and decadent coffee smells; mocha; almost peanut brittle-like. Initial taste hit of mint and chocolate; crème brûlée; toffee; brown sugar. Heavy body; thick and chewy; smooth; densely sweet finish.
This is one wicked beer, with taste and feel more reminiscent of double chocolate stout but with some added hop spiciness to keep things unique.

On tap at CBC 2016. Pitch black with an espresso head. Sticky sweet chocolate and molasses on top of roasted malts and sweet coffee.
