Shared bottle from DiGennaro, poured into a stone snifter.
A- Initially poured as a murky brown body, though it cleans up just a bit. The head is a solid finger and light tan. It drops to a light film with really nice stick left on the glass.
S- Lots of rum up front. Brown sugar and light funk at first. Some wood barrel, tobacco leaf, and leather with warmth. There's a suggestion of higher ABV as it opens up, but it's not harsh at all.
T- Rum, tobacco, wood, and leather. Some sweet hints suggest something of a rum drink with pineapple or rum soaked fruit.
M- Full body, quite viscous. Light alcohol warmth. A little herbal/tobacco bite.
O- A nice evening sipper after dinner. Quite bold for what I assumed would be a Belgian red. At 10% ABV, it's anything but. Not sure of the pricing point, but I'd potentially buy one for an occasion beer.

A: Poured into a snifter to a deep ruddy reddish brown which is topped by a dense two finger light tan head that fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with really nice lacing.
S: Smells of some nice caramel and slightly faded piney hops with a little rum and cedar
T: Taste is fairly rum forward with some nice caramel and slight cedar. Hints of spice on the palate as well. A little faded hop going on too. On the swallow this one is more rum and some toffee with some nice spice and cedar along with a little candied orange peel.
M: The beer is on the heavier side of medium in body flirting with thick. Carbonation is effervescent and just slightly prickly while the beer has a slightly drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer with some great flavors and complexity. The rum influence adds some really nice notes to an already great base beer. This one flirts with a barleywine with all the hop notes and it certainly doesn't disappoint. This one is worth a try if you can find it.

Tawyn, brownish body topped with a massively thick, dense, and creamy head; rather cloudy body. Caramel with wood undertones with the aroma; sweet. Toasted sugar taste; very malty; a fine alcohol edge to the flavor; brown sugar; some dark, pitted fruits. Heavy body; dense and velvety; warm; fairly dry overall.
This is a fine, immense beer, highlighting the malt base with just enough wood and boozy overtones to perk things up.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 6/23/2021. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy dark orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, vanilla, toffee, rum, toasted oak, biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of grapefruit, orange peel, apricot, raisin, cherry, pine, chocolate, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malt, rum chips, and light-moderate citrus/fruity hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, vanilla, toffee, rum, toasted oak, biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of grapefruit, orange peel, apricot, raisin, cherry, pine, chocolate, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness and light rum/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, vanilla, toffee, rum, toasted oak, biscuit, nuttiness, grapefruit, orange peel, pepper, pine, floral, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance dark/bready/light roasted malt, rum chips, and light-moderate citrus/fruity hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light dryness from lingering bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and slightly resinious/tannic/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%; no rum booziness. Overall this is a fantastic imperial red ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance dark/bready/light roasted malt, rum chips, and light-moderate citrus/fruity hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the big ABV. Outstanding rich malt complexity with balancing citrusy/fruity hops; and a nice presence of rum/oak chips. A highly enjoyable offering.

A: The beer is very hazy dark yellowish amber in color—too dark to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a short light beige head that consistently covered the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of rum chips are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste starts off with flavors of rum chips and has hints of underlying citrusy hops and caramel malts with some bits of oaky vanilla.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes a little strong, but nothing like a 10% abv beer or an amber/red ale.

Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma is malty with good barrel character and some caramel. Taste starts sweet and malty at first, continues with barrel character and finishes bitter and earthy. Medium body, quite smooth on the palate. Overall it's a really nice strong ale with good barrel character.
