Copenhagen 24/11 2018. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv. Paradoxically the label looks kind of arty. But then again- you can't win them all.

Pours orange golden yellow with big, white head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is intensely spicy with fruity hints. Fruity sourness, spicy cardamom, pepper, citrus. Quite herbal.

Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, texture. Quite light and easy for a Christmas beer.

Flavor s medium sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is herbal and bitter-ish. Lingers for a while.

Well made but a bit too Herbal for my taste buds.

Bottle-conditioned,
L- Mid-amber, sediment stirs easily even on a well rested bottle so this one is unexpectedly cloudy, incl with some small clumps. Pours with thin white head that holds well with lacing forming.
S- Somewhat zesty, might even be citrus notes.
T- Zesty though rich too, almost like grapefruit throttled back by some richness (with a bit of sweetness). It's quite subtle though, coming over more as an 'aromatic' note than say a blunt hoppy dry citrus (that hipster thing). Once past the surprise of the first swig it's growing on me.
F- It certainly doesn't feel like like 8%, nor like a trad (Belgian) Tripel. Perhaps it's aiming to be a form of contemporary Tripel - I see from the lable it talks of the addition of 'Cardamon, coriander and orange peel'.
O- Different, interesting, the flavours might work better in summer as they are brighter with an element of citrus zest.
330ml bottle BB: on cap 28/08/2021.

With immediate spice and syrupy orange, it's clear where this beer's influence comes from. It's a light tripel with an eye towards belgian whites but to no avail. Too sweet and sodalike, though the hefty spice notes make it warm and at least drinkable.

L:. Pours a slightly cloudy gold orange color with lots of carbonation bubbles, a small white head that dissipates quite quickly.

S:. A nice sweet orange, cardamom, other winter spices, coriander, a bit of orange candy, slight light baked bread and a light floral hop. Extremely inviting aroma.

T:. Sweet orange, cardamom, coriander and other winter spices, mixed with a bit of orange candy, some slight baked bread malt, a slight booze, a little sweeter than the normal tripel.

F:. Spritzy on the tongue medium body.

O:. This is a unique twist on a tripel and it was executed really well.

From the 750ml bottle in a snifter. This unique little tripel pours a
lightly cloudy amber tinged golden color with a modest head of
white foam that settles to a thin ring, thin light layer, and shows
some decent light lacing. Nose of definite cardamon, coriander,
subtle mace, and honey sweet candy malts with a touch of anise.
Flavors follow the nose with a mild anise and cardamon note
awash in candy malts and honey sweet malts. Coriander mingles
nicely in the rear with orange zest and cracker notes. Nice mouth
feel; medium body, medium light carbonation that is lightly effervescent,
and a sweet herbal finish that with warmth shows mild herbal hop notes.

Overall this is not my favorite of the THPT! Art series, it is more reminiscent
of a high proof white ale, that said though it is still a solid little brew.

Cheers

From degustarsur. In La Trappe chalice. Watching V3nganza. The extra herbs (coriander, cardammon) are perfectly integrated, providing a pleasant twist to style. The alcohol is very well hidden. Smooth in the palate

Complex, powerful and yet completely understated, the Belgian styled tripel is an ambiguity in taste that's decidedly greater than imperial strength but is chocked full of delicate character is whimsical charm.

Pale goldenrod and sprinkled with a snow glob of haze, To Ol's Fuck Art - Winter's Coming releases a creamy eggshell meringue that entices the nose with a host of fruit, spice, wine and bread fragrances. Medium sweet on the early palate, a kiss of sourdough permeates a taste of powdered sugar and honeysuckle and the seduction of each and every tastebud begins.

The ale simply blossoms on the middle palate as the flavors open with a fruit-centric character of pear, orange, lemon, apple and apricot. While a quick rebuttal from yeast spices bring a tingle of white pepper, clove, cumin and vanilla for an offset of fruit and also a soothing spiced cream taste. A twinge of white wine follows as the beer's sweetness dissolves from the palate and a mild bitterness of dry hay, lemon pepper and spruce effectively dries the palate and has the session seeming refreshing and drinkable.

Medium full though most of the session, the beer's early cookie dough creaminess provides a heft to the texture, but the combination of vilified carbonation, vinous spice and spicy hop bitterness all work to break up the malty weight and to ensure a fleeting finish with a medium linger of fruit and spice in gentle echoes of aftertaste.

750 ml bottle into chalice, best before 9/19/2019. Pours lightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, orange peel, peach, apricot, pear, apple, coriander, cardamom, ginger, pepper, clove, light banana, cracker, biscuit, candi sugar, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange peel, peach, apricot, pear, apple, coriander, cardamom, ginger, pepper, clove, light banana, cracker, biscuit, candi sugar, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, peach, apricot, pear, apple, coriander, cardamom, ginger, pepper, clove, light banana, cracker, biscuit, candi sugar, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an awesome tripel! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, and fairly clean finishing. Nice coriander/cardamom spice presence, but not overdone. A really enjoyable offering.
