Copenhagen 4/9 20818. 37,5 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh K. Simple black label with David all over the place.
Pours opaque dark brown - almost black - with big beige head. A little bit bubbly. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of frothy foam crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is dark, sweet and lightly metallic. Fairly intense. Dark chocolate, coffee and light metallic alcohol. A little saltiness.
Light carbonation. Soft, medium thick, oily texture.
Flavor has strong sweetness. Followed by a more moderate coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lightly boozy. Lingers for quite awhile. Finish is semi-dry.
A Fine strong Stout which manages to hide it's ABV quite well.
