An 8.5% Berliner. This should be something.

50 CL can traded from mr superspak and poured into a Sierra Nevada Spiegl glass. BB 8/3/19.

Deep rich jammed raspberry color, with a bubble gum pink head of 3 fingers that recedes very slowly. Lots of fuzzy lace residue.

Aroma of alcohol and fermented fruit, with slight raspberry jam and barley malt.

Oh...hmm. Something is severely off in this flavor profile. It's very rotten tasting. I get natural raspberry and jam but also an overwhelming amount of dead skunk. Very badly fermented and rotten fruit. Moldy wet malt. Instinctive preservation reaction is to spit it out. Questioning if I should be drinking this (health-wise).

Feel is crisp yet creamy, good level of carbonation.

Overall I'm not sure what happened here, this was kind of frightening.

500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 3/8/2019. Pours moderately hazy deep ruby red, light orange/purple color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, cherry, strawberry, plum, apricot, pear, green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, grass, wheat, and bread dough; with lighter notes of pepper, leather/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of raspberries, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, cherry, strawberry, plum, apricot, pear, green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, grass, wheat, and bread dough; with lighter notes of pepper, leather/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/fruit tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, cherry, strawberry, plum, apricot, pear, green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, grass, wheat, bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an amazing malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, fairly acidic/tangy/tannic, and light sticky mouthfeel that is insane. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is an insane fruited sour ale! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and extremely easy to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Insanely jammy raspberries with balanced Brett/Lacto complexity; and a great bready malt backbone against acidity. Loved this similarly to the Blackcurrant version, but it is softer on acidity and fruit tang/tannins. A highly amazing offering as expected.
