Shared a can of this with my cousin... thanks Sean! This is a big ol' adjunct-driven stout from To Øl featuring chocolate, vanilla, and sea salt. Let's hope it's balanced and enjoyable! I've had a decent amount of To Øl beers at this point and find them generally fun and enjoyable, but sometimes they can miss the mark.
Pours a pretty deep and intense dark brown with a nice frothy head of khaki foam that settles over about 10-15 minutes to a solid collar of about a half-finger. I've been letting this glass sit out for a little while longer than that before this review (cuz life gets in the way, ya know?), but it still looks nice and dense; though its head has mostly dissipated, I am still concerned by how dark this is. It looks like it might consume my very soul... a perfect appearance for an imperial stout of this caliber.
The nose is pretty much like a s'mores, with layers of graininess backed up by immense chocolate and vanilla plus some crème brûlée here and there. Very decadent and sweet, with some light coffee bitterness and hazelnut undertones at times. My cousin said it smells like a Devil's Food cake, and I will go ahead and agree with that assertion as well. Just superbly rich and sweet with a nice malty undertone aside from the adjuncts.
The flavor profile is similar, with an oily slickness pervading the palate while combining notes of fudgy chocolate cake and strong overtones of vanilla with caramel and toffee. The mid-palate is incredible dense with intense maltiness and ethanol. This almost has a liqueur-like note to it when left out for a little while. Perhaps this is better to drink when it's freshly-poured, but given that was about an hour ago, I also recall thinking it was awesome then, as well. Perhaps it had a little more dark fruit then... some lighter notes of dark cherry and prune came across, where there's a bit more bitterness and dark chocolate now. Heavy body with a great balance from the sea salt toward the finish. A fun and enjoyable big stout with a good treatment of its adjuncts. I'd check this one out again!

Strong 11% brew from Denmark importers by Shelton Bros in Mass. A brew that you will feel rather quickly. Vanilla comes thru very strong. Not sure I like the Sea Salt. Expensive brew at $9.50

look: Very dark, nearly opaque. No highlights to speak of, when held to light.
smell: Intense vanilla. As advertised, the chocolate and salt are there too.
taste: Like the nose, the vanilla, salt and chocolate are intense. Some stouts with this stuff have a very subtle difference. This ain't one em'. Dessert stout fo sho.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a good sized, light brown head of foam. It smelled of sea salt, vanilla and chocolate. Caramel sweetness, rich chocolate, salt and lots of vanilla taste. So intense.

From a huge can, this brew is utterly black, with a tan head..(quickly fading) and a deep complexion. The aroma is intense...it smells like bitter chocolate and coffee ice cream. Rich and full. The taste is bitter, warm, thick, and sweet. Wow.

This is my favorite dessert stout. Flavors blend perfectly and hide the boozy taste, even at 11% ABV. Strong vanilla and chocolate notes with a marshmallow finish.
Delicious.

Smells like fudge, tastes a bit salty with rich chocolate and vanilla marshmallowy flavors
