Copenhagen 11/1 2019. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Usual Julemælk design with yellow label and differently sized letters spelling Julemælk.
Pours opaque dark brown with big tan head. Stable. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of frothy foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is heavy sweet and sugary and on the boozy side of the road. Brown sugar, molasses, dark sweet alcohol - could be tequila of the dark variety. Sharp alcoholic odor rummaging in the background.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, creamy and tough texture. Very sticky.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Almost no bitterness present. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Notable alcoholic burn.
A very sweet, heart warming, winter-sipper. Nice balance between the alcohol and the sugary sweetness.
