Copenhagen 10/7 2019. 33 cl bottle from Mikkeller Web-shop. White clinical label with the CMYK code for off-white/blonde.

Pours unclear golden yellow with a fairly big white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of fluffy foam. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is sharp, citric and lightly spicy. Citrus and lime. Black pepper. Sour milk, sour gooseberries, unripe green apples. Acerbic.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, lightly prickly, soft texture.

Flavor has a surprising medium sweetness compared to the aroma. Followed by a stronger sourness. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.

Even though I could not detect the cucumber I find this to be a very fine Summer beer.

500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 2/4/2020. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy limes, cucumber, citrus peel/zest, watermelon, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of limes, cucumber, peppercorn, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy limes, cucumber, citrus peel/zest, watermelon, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, citrus peel/rind bitterness, and peppercorn spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy limes, cucumber, citrus peel/rind, watermelon, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of limes, cucumber, peppercorn, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/tart/bitter/spiciness balance. Mild pucker/astringency, but not overwhelming. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/bitter/spiciness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly resinous/rindy, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this an excellent fruited/spiced gose. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of limes, cucumber, peppercorn, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink; despite the increasingly bitter/spicy/resinous/drying finish. Not overly lactic/salty. Great balance of vibrant/juicy fruits, peppercorn, and Lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. No residual sweetness with crisp resin/rindy dryness. A really enjoyable offering. Was more bitter/resinous/drying than expected, but still an impressive style example as expected.
