Copenhagen 13/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. A No Photography sign on the label.
Pours murky maroon with a small off-white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, sugary, fermented odor mingling with sharp alcohol. Fermented dark fruit. Prunes, raisins and plums. Sugar in abundance. Dark alcohol. Rum.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture. A bit sticky.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a surprisingly strong bitter undertone. Finish is rather dry with a boozy touch.
No reason to be camera-shy. More than decent Barley wine.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.9%. Nearly black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, molasses, oatmeal, sweet biscuits. Warming mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and rich, but not cloying, with the same elements as the aroma, also notes of chocolate, brandy and oak. Moderate bittering hops.

De Degustasur. En copa Teku. Viendo El Hombre en el Castillo 3x06. Barleywine bastante amargote, con el quemazon alcoholico algo por encima de lo ideal y en el que se echa en falta dulzor
