Copenhagen 5/1 2021. 44 cl can from Kvickly, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. White can with weird colored stripes and a lot of letters spelling “Kokomo”.

Pours unclear pale yellow with a small white head, bubbly. Settles as thin patches of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer.

Aroma is intense with a light, sweet fruity odor mingling with a sharp citric sourness. Passion fruit, coconut and lactose. Citrus and unripe gooseberries. Light funky odor of barnyard.

Fairly strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger sharp sourness. Aftertaste is sour with an unnerving coconut sweet undertone. Finish is dry.

Quite strange combination of Kettle sour and coconut.

look: one finger sudsy white head with good retention, beer is a hazy amber colour, with rushing carbonation within.

smell: you really get the coconut on the aroma, and it’s quite pleasant, vanilla too, nicely sweet, marshmallow, nicely tart, orange and lemon, grapefruit, passionfruit, floral, grass, elderflower perhaps, smells good.

taste: very interesting sour beer here, the coconut is super dominant, i usually resent this, but it works here, very chill tropical tasting beer, lot of passionfruit pineapple, mango, lemon and lime, some vanilla, marshmallow, quite floral and herbal, good level of sourness, not much bitterness on the finish, fruit flavours linger, really different but nice.

feel: light bodied, medium carbonation, not quite puckering sourness, very crushable and refreshing.

overall: a super chill, summery, sour beer, only big fault is i can’t get the bloody song out of my head...
