Copenhagen 9/12 2021. 37,5 cl bottle from Kvickly, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Simple black label with the name and style of the beer and the brewer and a little rectangle in different shades of brown.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small, light beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent layer of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet cake-like odor mingling with a bit of Christmas spices. Chocolate cake, vanilla, honey. Lightly roasted. A mild spicy scent of capsicum.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a notable chili burn. Lingering. Finish is smoldering.
Rewarding and potent with an carefully restrained touch of chili.
