Copenhagen 19/2 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. The can is made out to look like a clean metal can with white stickers on with information about the beer. Except it isn't.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head Settles as thin patch of foam floatting in the middle of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruit mingling with subtle citric notes. Sweet peach and nectarines. Grapefruit and lemon peeking in.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by an almost as strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Intense, well-balanced with a fine bitter afterlife.

collab beer here with (get ready): whiplash, boundary, northern monk, basqueland, fair state, zagovor & garage beer. some of my favourite beers of last year were brewed by whiplash, NM, and zagovor in particular, so fun to see them contributing with another one of my absolute favourite breweries, the beer itself holds up, citrus fruit forward ipa, grapefruit and orange, orange pith, some pine, little bit of resin, sweet but not overly sweet, brown bread malt, light to medium bitterness, medium bodied with medium levels of carbonation, it’s not among these lads best work, but it’s a nice ipa, and kinda neat that so many breweries contributed to it (even cooler that two are irish)
