Copenhagen 7/2 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Purple and blue can with the name of the beer with black letters multiple times.
Pours slightly unclear pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a light whiff of sourish grains. Sweet pale malts, bread and corn. Sour grains. Touch of citrus.
Strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively, tingling - almost fizzy - texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is a tad watery.
Sweet malty, bready Helles.

Extremely pleasing experiencing. This pours like a Helles, just a bit cloudy, and straw yellow. Foam is nice, not very stable though. Brewed with purple barley, and a collaboration with Newbarns. The malt blend comes from Gyrup Gårdmalt, and provides a very gentle smokyness. Not quite a Rauchbier, but you can definitely taste and smell the way the malt was dried.
