Copenhagen 12/8 2023. 33 cl can from SuperBrugsen, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. NV. Dark blue can fading into light blue and then white.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as a hin puddle of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of dark roasted malts mingling with an earthy scent. Toffee, caramel and roasted chestnut. Peat, leather and tobacco.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by s slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is a tad watery. Bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Good intensity despite a modest ABV.
