Copenhagen 22/12 2021. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Simple purple label fading into orange with the name and style of the beer in black.
Pours opaque, murky, dark brown with a small, bubbly, lightly beige head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with sweet malty odor mingling with dark alcohol and a light sourish scent. Dark fruit, toffee, marzipan and a touch of humid yeast. Boozy brandy.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, fat, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is like sucking a caramel soaked in brandy.
Wholesome, boozy and rich quadrupel with a light Belgian touch.

Cellared a year. Intensely dark brown opaque pour with 2 fingers of beige foam, sudsy lacing. Aroms of the baking spices especially cinnamon, with orange, anise, almond, molasses, rye, and dark fruits with quad yeast meshing in. Taste is more separated as the yeast is simply a finishing with the various booze, thought the rye cut in quite a bit here, the baking spices up front with the candi sugar, molasses, orange and anise is festive AF. Feel is spiced and boozy, not sure how "quady" this feels but it has plenty of texture going for it. Indeed a lovely holiday beer
