Copenhagen 8/4 2024. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Nordisk Plads, Frb. F. Simple black label with the name of the beer and style in white.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Bubbly. Settles as lonely patches of foam floating about. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, roasted malty odor with a whiff of salty sea and alcohol. Sweet dark malts, chocolate, vanilla, black licorice and sweet bourbon.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a rather strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter, black licorice. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Not a bad way to enjoy autumn.
