In 2019 we got our first taste of the new hop Strata. We found it to be one of the best new hops out there.
So we just had to brew with our had selected lot of Strata!
Strata has a very distinct aroma, that can only be described as marijuana and blueberries, whith a hint of passionfruit.
The best way to bring that out, would be through a double IPA!
The base beer for Strata Day Right, is quite close to Lost All Reason, but with a few tweaks to the grist base. Using only Centennial in the kettle, it was dry-hopped exclusively with Strata.
This beer marks the last canning run of Brus in 2020. Happy New Year and see you in 2021!

Copenhagen 18/1 2021. 44 cl can from Kvickly, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Light green can with some colorful rectangles Bauhaus style.
Pours milky, opaque, hazy, slightly dirty golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Fairly stable. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a potent, sweet and fermented odor barely hiding the alcohol. Sour, citric scent peeking in. Mango and passion fruit. Light fermented decay. Whiff of mustard. Citrus and grape fruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, soft, slightly viscous and lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong boozy sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a boozy streak.
Sweet, intense and boozy as a DIPA should be.
