Dark and Easy

I had this beer on-tap in a half pint glass at To Øl's brewery in Copenhagen, BRUS. The menu just calls this a "dark ale", but it gave off portery vibes to me, so that's how I added it here.

Appearance: rich brown hue with a bit of haze and a finger of tan foam atop.

Smell: some roasty and caramelly notes; not too sweet. Not super complex, but it's got a nice porter-like character to it.

Taste: low to moderate sweetness with some astringent roastiness and a moderate bitterness that lend kind of a dryness. Not too bad.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: I don't know what a "dark ale" is supposed to be, but like I said this felt like a porter to me. Maybe a little too astringent for my taste, but not bad.
