A base beer of our five-grain Foeder beer that was re-fermented on the pressed skins of local Cabernet grapes. After this extraction the beer rested in ex-Port wine barrels for a further 5 months before bottling.

Pours opaque unclear golden yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Disappears completely after a few seconds. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet fruity odor soon overpowered by tart grapes and berries. Green grapes and tart gooseberries. Whiff of sweet peaches.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Tart and dry like white wine.
