Copenhagen 28/12 2021. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé. Sealed with red plastic wax. Red fading to purple and some dots in black, orange, yellow and purple hovering.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a dark beige head. Bubbly. Disappears completely after a few seconds. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with heavy, sugar laden odor with sweet Christmas spices and a dark bitter sweet chocolate scent. Cinnamon, ginger, vanilla. Bitter dark chocolate. Brown sugar in abundance.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, notable burnt bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but with a bitter undertone like pure, dry cocoa. Lingering. Surprisingly dry finish.
Quite the cookie with an abundance of sweetness and Christmas spices - but the dark bitter chocolate is looming.
