This is a To Øl classic that we brew every Christmas since we just can’t get enough of it. A 12.3% heavy, sweet, dark as sin stout with an abundance of lactose for a truly gluttonous, naughty beverage. This version of the Yule Malt was matured in both cognac and bourbon barrels. This gives the Imperial Stout more depth, intensity and silkiness. A wonderful beer that is ideal as a dessert on Christmas Eve or as a companion for the rest of the evening.

Frederiksberg 12/11 2025. 40 cl from tap at Tap 21, H.C. Ørstedsvej, Frb. C.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense with a dark and a bit boozy odor of dark malts and even darker alcohol. Brown sugar and lactose. Toffee. Bourbon.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, smooth, viscous, fat, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet dark alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sweet with a boozy touch.
A big fat and boozy Christmas greeting from Svinninge.
