Atmosphere: This place is about the size of a large grocery store (or smaller Walmart, your choice) and is basically open racks and stacks of beer and pop by the case. It's not really meant to have a great and inviting atmosphere, but it was big, open, clean and well organized, so I can't slam it.

Quality: Of course they have their piles of cheaper BMC products, I would too if I had to make a living selling beer, I guess. But, along the left wall (with your back to the entrance) is their craft selection, and it really does extend for the entire length of the store. Lots of PA beers and lots of other American craft offerings, as well as a decent amount of imports as well.

Service: Not much to this either, kind of like the atmosphere, but the clerk was funny and he cracked jokes about how his friends all think it's cool that he gets to work around beer all day but how it's really not cool because he doesn't get to drink it; he also made fun of the stupid beer-by-the-case law in PA, so he gets points for that. He also knew the breweries and could speak about them with competence, so he wasn't strictly a register jockey or anything.

Selection: As mentioned above under "quality," they do have a good number of craft offerings from tons of breweries, with special attention to PA beers because there are a ton of them. The whole left wall from front to back was loaded up with the cases, and they had the shelf talkers for all of them too so you could get decent ideas about what you were buying.

Food: Well, it's N/A, but the bags of chips looked good :)

Value: Reasonable, but it would definitely cost serious money to buy a lot of beer by the case. I'm really glad I left Pennsylvania before I became a fan of the craft scene, because I don't think I could afford the hobby otherwise.

Duffy's Pop n Beer:

Located off of Curry Hollow road, close to Rt51. West Mifflin. Next to vacant Value City dept store.

Atmosphere: Large open industrial type building. Pallets upon Pallets of BMC as soon as you walk in the door. Craft located on Left wall, matter of fact craft lines the whole entire left wall so you should not miss it.

Selection: Very good with everything from Founders to Dark Horse to an impressive import section. I was wowed over as I have never seen an import section like this in Pittsburgh. Beers arranged by brewery and they were laid out in a neat fashion. Also, they had some separate shelving up front that has specials, such as xmas beer gift packs. Product appears to turn over as I saw many people shopping imports/craft. Dates looked good as well and were rotated.

Keg selection was pretty decent, though would have liked to see more sixtels, but what they had was quality.

Value: was good, I did pick up a case of Founders Porter($30) and Stone Levitation($40). All prices clearly marked and each beer has description as well which is a nice touch.

Service: Should be N/A as I did not require, so can't comment.

Overall: Duffy's was a pleasant surprise and may be one of the best of these so called "Beer Warehouse's" in Pittsburgh. I am surprised this place has never been reviewed before.
