330ml bottle, poured into Stone snifter.

A: Amber, hazy, medium sized faintly tanned head which didn’t hang around for too long. Decent amount of lacing clung to the side of the glass.

S: Initially there wasn’t much of an aroma, the Cascade hops became more pronounced towards the end.

T: Fairly strong malt backbone, quite boozy, had notes of grapefruit but they got slightly drowned out.

M: Not overly carbonated, medium to heavy body, had a slight edge from the booze.

O: The boozy feel and malty sweetness gave the impression of a lower hop content than with other DIPAs, preferable to some of the hugely bitter versions of the style. Very good for the price, more hops would have balanced it out and taken it to the next level.

Pours a glowing orange color with a decent, spongy head.

Smells of ripe oranges, wet grass and lemon peel, plus an artificial perfumy flower note.

Drinks pretty soft, but unusual sweet, relying heavily on the malts throughout with just the faintest dry note during the finish.

Malty during the beginning, dull and watery during midpalate, malty dry with a limey touch in the finish. Not good.
