NOT RETIRED! Pours dark cola brown with thick fluffy head. It goes downhill from here. Aroma is weak and sweet. Taste is also sweet, slightly tangy, and no sign of any roasted malt. Palate again is sweetness. Not even in the ball park for a decent dunkelweizen.

Sampled at Harveys in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
This dunkel hefeweizen poured a cloudy, chocolate-coffee brown with light brown, creamy foam that settled slowly. The smell was light banana, caramel, and a hint of coconut together with malt. The taste was malty with lightly sweet banana and a light tanginess. The mouthfeel was smooth with a crisp finish with medium body and good carbonation. There was a lightly fruity aftertaste and the aftertaste was sharp. This was a nice, easy to drink weizen with a pleasant hint of sweetness.
