What an outstanding head!
I think it's a solid Helles on draft.

Greenish yellow color, very pale. Two fingers of white foam, good and creamy.
In the smell a light maltiness, with some light hop.
Malty taste, again hop, maybe a quite peculiar bitterness, not too lively and fresh, without being stale.
Malty, average body.
Again malty notes in the aftertaste, and hop.
Not bad, but there are a lot of better helles.

The label of this brew boasts a Munich style helles lager, and Eichbaum's beer of the year for 2009.
When poured this brew produces quite a bit of head, and amazing retention. Perhaps the brew is overly carbonated. Fine lacing clings to the glass all the way through to the finish. The body is light gold in color and totally clean.
Aroma is blunt with grassy hay notes. A bit lemony as well.
Taste wise is immediately malty, but is quickly countered by lemony hops. There is a wet bitter finish to this beer.
This does have quite a bit of carbonation and gives this a biting feeling.
Overall this is a good example of the Munich helles style lager, made here in Baden Wuertemberg. At a moderate ABV this makes for a great session beer.
