Tea colour, strongly iridescent. The beer is topped with a white, high head, made up of fine bubbles. It is persistent, but does not leave too many decorations on the glass.
The aroma is distinctly hoppy (fruity) and grainy, with notes of caramel developing over time.
The taste is sweet with a delicately dry finish.
Medium carbonation. Medium body. Round, soft texture. Medium-long, sweet aftertaste with a distinct dry finish.

Not a beer I'd reach for again. I was drawn in by the promise of a cheap pale ale at the supermarket, but already the graphics on the can had me skeptical. While this did have a touch of the bitterness that I've come to love in pale ales, it almost felt cheap. It was as though someone had taken a potent ale and cut it with water, and then canned it. But I fear that the original ale wasn't particularly good, even before being cut.
Drinking this I can almost get hints of something - maybe a toffee or caramel? But once again it's overpowered by the lack of depth in the overall profile. The smell is the most redeeming quality, and I should think that most of the flavor I'm getting really is coming from my nose.
Wouldn't buy this again, but I'm willing to give the brewery another shot.
