From Germany...I'm pretty sure that I have never had an IPA from Germany before. Aroma is lacking the freshness or hoppiness of what I would expect from a typical Imperial IPA. Looks ok in the glass, without the brightness or luminousosty of the best IPA's, or a Duvel. I might have just created a new word. Or more likely a new spellling of an existing word.
Aroma has citrus notes, and quite heavy maltiness. Not particularly inviting. Quite heavy and more like an English bitter than a West Coast or Imperial IPA. Taste is ok, but I'm never a fan of heavy camamel maltiness mixed with hops. It simply doesn't work for me. I'm not really a fan ;) Far too much sweetness for an IPA, and very low bitterness. It reminds me of French beers such as Pelforth, which I also dislike. Maybe better at room temperature. Not really.
It looks like they spent more time designing a story for their can than actually making the beer. This does not have the feeling at all of a quality product, and tastes like it was brewed fast for profit. And the fact that one of the ingredients are "hop extract" further proves this. Radeberger is amazing. This is not.
