Pours hazy gold color with a 2-3 finger thick beige colored foamy head that faded very slowly and left decent lacing. Smells of malt, caramel, orange peel and earthy notes. Tastes malty and sweet up front with caramel, tea leaf, honey, hints of fruit and some lager like vegetable or buttery wheat bread. Goes down easy with zero bitterness.

Pours a cloudy amber with ample white foam that leaves persistent lacing. Smell is bready malty but also grassy hops and a touch of the banana/clove hefeweizen scent. Taste starts very crisp, less barley, more wheat than the scent, ends sweeter and fruity. Body is moderate, with ample carbonation that persists to the bottom of the glass. This is certainly a unique combination of styles which I can envision being quite nice on a warm summer evening.

Notes via stream of consciousness: I'm not even sure what a "wheat pale ale" is but it's the perfect time to find out. It's got a lot of carbonation to it and I've poured a mssive head of antique-white foam atop a hazy golden-orange body. I'll be more careful next time. It's malty with a bready, wheaty, and perhaps slightly caramelish. It's also fruity with orange and a light touch of spiciness. On to the taste then, I'm expecting pretty much the same. Yes, I think this is made with pale ale malt and wheat, and probably Amarillo hops but who knows. It's sweetish, fruity, wheaty, and a touch spicy and phenolic. There is a touch of caramel to it as well. A moderate bitterness balances it but it still ends up dry in the finish with a drop of citrus lingering amidst a swirl of light spiciness. The body is medium and the fine-bubbled carbonation leaves it creamy and smooth. It reminds me of Blue Moon Belgian White Ale and I'm now pretty sure that that's what they were going for, and I'm quite certain that the strong orange flavor is coming from dried orange peel and not hops. The spiciness also certainly seems like it's coming from a Belgian yeast. The head has held up nicely and it's left some great lacing about the glass. Interestingly, as it warms I'm getting more clove, and perhaps a little bit of banana which is interesting. All in all it's nicely done, satisfying, and a refreshing.

From the half liter can in the 2024 Biergarten Collection from Costco, it pours a hazy darker amber color with a very nice, long lasting, perfekt white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets banana clove and bready malt - lovely. The mouth follows with a slightly watery and bready brew with banana and clove notes.

It's drinkable, but not very good. From experience I'm not a fan of wheat beer or pale ale, and this rings true.
In addition to the bad taste, it has a rough feel, not malty, may be the wheat.

Low bitterness and some sweetness even though hops and wheat dominate the aroma.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with medium+ carbonation.
