Look: Orange red hue. Little head.
Smell: Pumkin pie spice, stronger nutmeg. Slight vanilla.
Taste: Spices are there but too confounded together. I want something to stand out but it doesn't. Ever so slight extract or medicinal note but not off putting. Cannot get through to the malt flavor due to the spice. Tough to balance for any beer maker but, I wish the malt came forward.
Feel: Medium, slightly syrupy but decent carbonation keeps the cough syrup feel at bay.
Overall: Great attempt at what I feel is a tough style "pumpkin ale" to master. I got this on sale and would be a bit disappointed had I paid full price. I would drink it in the Fall if it presented itself.

Appearance: Pours and stays pretty flat looking, no head, no carbonation streams. Deep red, amber glass goes a bit orange.

Aroma: Spices are firm with a heavy sweet note that goes cotton candy and bubblegum. Light roasted edge as well, very complicated, not overpowering, but very unique.

Taste: Pumpkin pie spices, mace, clove, in a sweet red ale. The beer flavor is pretty well masked by the spice profile, but plenty of sweetness supports and blends well with the spices. Hints of pumpkin pie, and some candy notes.

Mouthfeel: Pretty flat, but manages some gritty carbonation that saves it from being lifeless. Medium heavy body is thick and oily giving a good chew.

Overall: Big red ale as the base for a classic Pumpkin ale. Spices are at a nice note making the package enjoyable, but a little too sweet, heavy and flat. Little more carbonation would have helped the heavy and fat, but it's super sweet, making this a slow sipper.
