Poured from 12oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of frothy eggshell foam atop. I usually think of the style as being a bit brighter than this, but still, it’s nice.
Smell: lightly malty with some sweetness and a little hint of corn. It has the classic — sorry, for the lack of a better term “plasticy” — smell that I associate with rice beers, but it’s not offensive. It’s actually pretty darn good for the style.
Taste: on the sweet side, and a bit corny, but with a bit of a yeasty fruity element. I wouldn’t say it works entirely, but it’s got a light and refreshing enough character, even if the flavor profile isn’t my favorite.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer is never going to be a go-to beer for me, but for those seeking out something lighter (and just a little bit sweet), I think they will find something they like here.
