I assume this is the same as the "Dark Hallow Pumpkin Ale" that my friend said was in the growler.
Pours a dark amber color, very clear, and with a pretty nice head.
Aromas are spicy, with some sweet dark breads, cocoa, and pumpkin.
Taste is also spicy, light pumpkin flavors, pretty pronounced ginger, and some caramel malt notes. Finish has a dry mineral hop bite, and some pretty nice crispness. The hops on the end balance well with the sweet malt and spicy flavors.
Mouthfeel is good, full, but not overly heavy.
Drinkability is very good. This is a tasty pumpkin spice ale. Goes down well, and is very pleasant to drink.

Notes taken September 2004 (I am a newbie and needed 20 reviews before I could add this one)
Pours a clear beautiful deep amber hue with a moderate off-white creamy head. There was minimal lacing left on the glass after head dissipated.
Aroma is full of Mom's homemade pumpkin pie, lots of clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin, with just a touch of floral hops in the bouquet.
The taste was malty sweet with lots of pumpkin...usually lacking in others of this style. Just the right amount of pumpkin spice in this one and just a bit of bittering hops, compliments the sweet malts and pumpkin nicely.
Great carbonation level for the style and lots of malt body to this one.
This is by far the best pumpkin ale I have ever had and I used to really enjoy the Cottonwood pumpkin.
