On tap at Chama River taproom, downtown ABQ, 2.12.11. $3 pints during happy hour.
One finger white head, medium dissipation with some lacing. Light gold a bit hazy ala Bavarian hefes, no visible carbonation. Nose is a bit on the fruity side, banana but not overpowering, slight spicy notes, floral hops. Taste features the same subtle banana notes, some clove, good belt of pilsener malt for smoothness, though the 'hop' in the title may be overstated. Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium, dry finish, not a lot of effervescence, long liingering very slightly bitter finish. Decent drinkability. I will admit this is one of the hoppier hefeweizens I've had but it's really not pushing the envelope for the style.
