This came with a thick, off-white head with decent retention. The color was a medium-amber with NE-quality clarity. The nose had a slight maltiness to it. The mouthfeel was on the light side with a mild bitterness on the tongue. The finish was moderately dry. In many places that I had visited in the South, this would have been their IPA. Not bad, but I preferred their IPA.

Part of a sampler at the brewery - it is 5.7% ABV. The color was dark red-brown with a thick bubbly head and was highly carbonated. It was very sweetly aromatic - floral scents. It had a bitter hops taste, but the hops didn't overwhelm the complex and sweet flowery smell.

Bottle was a 2006 GABF left-over that was given to me as a reward for my volunteer efforts. Thanks a million to GABF and to Blue Corn Brewing for the opportunity. Entered into judging in category #37 (American Pale Ale).
Pours a strong finger of sticky yellow-tan head over a very cloudy bright copper-orange liquid. Smells pine mint/wintergreen and oranges. Oatmeal. Apricot and a mild sting of clean alcohol.
Tastes DMS. Dark rich hops. Orange and dark woody driness. Tangerines and citrus fiber. Iron tang is almost soured. Pine is bright and lemony. Malt sweet is quite transient, as the beer ends it is dry and grassy. Fruity esters can't help the malt. Does have a creaminess to it I enjoy. Watery flavor character to the beer.
Md body is nearly thick. Overcarbonated and this serves to clean the palette in the finish.

If you find yourself in Santa Fe, this is a worthwhile place to visit, particularly for this beer, which was exceptional!
Reddish amber with a thin but lasting head, nice lace and clear. The aroma is crisp and hoppy--lots of dry hop aroma; mild sweet malt counter balance.
Excellent balance on the taste: caramel malt quickly giving away to the strong hop flavor--closer to an IPA. The hop lasts long after the swallow, but the malt remains present. Full bodied with slightly less than average carbonation.
Served warm (cellar temperature), this was a real find. In many ways a superior pale ale, it is very complex and entertaining brew.

Hard-raging micro here.
Stanky, dry-hop pellets appeal only to the cognoscenti of beer. Unfiltered, amber, and beautiful. Medium head with medium body (Doy!) for this classic APA. Starts, blossoms, and finishes well with only their other offerings posing as valid competition.
Chill Yucatan style with U.S.A. confidence.
