Deepest black color with a thin caramel head with short retention.
Nice aroma with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans and licorice.
Flavor with notes of roasted coffee beans, charcoal, cola, cocoa, licorice, citrus and spicy hops, mild lactic acid and pine. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness from both hops and roasted notes.
Light body with proper carbonation.
Balanced, flavorful, well-crafted and with a unique character. Not sure whether it is within the Schwarzbier style ranges given its American scent, but I just know I liked.
