I had this beer poured from a 375mL bottle into a pint glass at Chela&Go in Mexico City.

Appearance: a nice cloudy yellow hue with a thin white lace. Nothing special, but a decent example of a tripel.

Smell: sweet with plenty of malt aroma, although none of the pear and apple character I love in a tripel.

Taste: malty and a bit sweet; there’s a hint of hop character as well. It’s not as rich or clean as I normally like, but it’s totally serviceable.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a frothy carbonation and moderate creaminess.

Overall: not bad, but it doesn’t have the rich, fruity character I love in the style.

"Craft" BS. So pretentious. 0 carbonation! Like a homebrewer's first try; but sold for $$$. Brown water with enough alcohol to give a headache.

L- Hazy straw yellow with a small fizzy white head, 0 retention, faded away super fast. Ugly looking beer.
S- Belgian spice, sweet sugar, coriander.
T- Sweet, caramel, belgian sugar. Slightly boozy.
F- Thin and watery.
O- Underwhelmed as I expected more from this.

Interesting Tripel from Mexico.
It pours an opaque ocher color and a big big whitey foam
It smells like gnocchi al sugo, REALLY. Spices and condiments notes are really strong, highlights to the oregano ones, some pepper can also be found. The high maltiness level offers notes of cereals and even potatos. To make it even more surprising, there's some sourness.
Taste is less surprising, malty and a bit alcoholic, but complex to the point that is difficult to distinguish between notes. Pepper, other spices and sweet notes are the most evident, fruitness is low though.
Huge boy, great carbonation, a nice bitter end and noteworthy ABV.

Slightly hazy yellow color with a huge bright white thick head with eternal retention and leaving lots of laces.
Very nice aroma compared to most Tripels, smoother and no sharp edges. Notes of pineapples, candied sugar, some phenols, mild pleasant sourness from orange citrusy, curacao and banana.
Spicy flavor with notes of green apples, white pepper, lemon, mild floral and herbal hops, candi sugar, apricot, cloves and cinnamon. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness and some acidity.
Bordering medium body with appropriate effervescent carbonation. Alcohol of 8.5% abv is well disguised.
Well executed Tripel and faithful to style, unexpected positive surprise (I have the impression they are not very consistent). Did they have a winner batch? Ps. this matured appropriately. Hopefully they can repeat this, it should be a good option for non-radical lovers of the style. I said that given it is well balanced and not pretentious nor original. But I could sure drink this anyday.
