Copper colored with a tan head. Not much foaming, but a thin rim sinks down with the drink. Decent look overall.
Nose is very smoky, with charcoal and bourbon notes. Slight hint of charcuterie, with toffee and caramel lagging behind. A little metallic, but decent power and definitely interesting.
Definite note of bacon in with the charcoal. Somewhat sweet notes of caramel as well. Only major disappointment is the note of cherry cough syrup which is extremely prevalent on the finish.
Body is a little too light, and the syrup flavor a little too heavy to make this a drinkable ale, but it is definitely interesting. When colder, it's much more drinkable, but I'm afraid Calavera has dropped the ball a bit on this one.

A: a bright amber appearance, semi traslucent, some thicknes, constant carb, very tiny bubbles which generates a thin dirty white layer. The head is no consistent, dissapears quickly, some waste is left behind
S: A nice smoke touch, reminds to fire in a camp, and some times you get the sensation of bacon, some caramel malts are present
T: I would say there are no bitter notes only sweet and some wood taste. the smoke notes are remarkable and the only taste is worthy, a dry end
M: light to medium body, better sensation on tongue were expected
