The Corazón Negro Calavera craft beer is our exquisite Mexican Imperial Stout beer in collaboration with Espadín-cuise craft mezcal, which is distinguished by its intense flavor and distinctive character. When poured into the glass, it presents itself with a deep black color and a generous layer of dark brown foam, which persists throughout the tasting.

On the nose, roasted and freshly ground coffee aromas are appreciated, which are intertwined with subtle notes of dark chocolate and burnt caramel, and smoky and fruity aromas from mezcal.

On the palate, Corazón Negro Calavera reveals itself as a beer with a very robust and silky texture. Roasted malt flavors dominate the palate, accompanied by notes of coffee and high-quality dark chocolate. The presence of hops is noticeable with a balanced bitterness, which provides a pleasant counterpart to the malty flavors and clearly mezcal is present.

Its high alcohol content, combined with its complexity of flavors, makes it a perfect beer to enjoy on special occasions or to pair with intense dishes such as birria, pozole, barbecue or chocolate desserts.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter via Jeanette and Jamie! Thanks for this one!
The imperial pours a dark blackish brown with a nice head of brown foam that
settles to a thick layer (1/2") with decent lacing. Nose of smoky mezcal, dark
cocoa, and dark coffee. Flavors follow the nose with dark coffee, dark cocoa,
smoke, lightly herbal mezcal, and subtle anise notes. Mouth feel is medium full,
lightly slick, moderately coating, warming, and finishing smoked and subtly dry
with medium light carbonation.

Overall, interesting use of mezcal. Unique to be certain.

Cheers
