The appearance of this beer is a lovely hazey gold. Unfortuneately the appearance is the best part of this beer. Typical grainy lager smell. The taste, while not the worst euro lager I've had, leaves much to be desired. Could use a bit of a hop presence. This is not a beer I will be revisiting again any time soon.

Clear, pale orange, high carbonation, big, lush head, fluffy white...nice enough to look at...

Aroma: very bare and dry...that is to say, not much of any going on here. At best, honey and corn?

Taste: wet and grainy. Dry in the finish. A bit malty, with no hops, and nothing happening in the mouthfeel worth talking about...a bit of sweetness in the flavor, what there is of it...decent drinking, but dull.

So many questions...what kind of name is "Ryan" for a Polish brewer,if that is who it is named for (his signature appears above the banner, and his name "Gostomski" underneath) what is the significance of the word "Full", seen three times on the label, and why don't I just learn Polish so I can answer these for myself?

The beer pours from the 500ml brown bottle the quintessential lager gold with a moderate sized frothy white head as it evaporates; the residual lace forms a velum like jacket upon the glass. Nose is the prototypical lager sweet malt, fresh and clean, crisp and the start has a decent malt presence and is somewhat sweet with the top middling in its feel to the palate. Finish has a stern acidity and the hops apropos to the style, quite dry aftertaste lingers long on the palate, a quite drinkable beer, but at 6.2 percent ABV, I guess not a good session beer.

Pours misty golden under an ivory stack.
Cereal nose. Grainy and modestly sweet.
More of the same in the mouth. Grocery store-brand white bread. Honeyed corn-based breakfast flakes. Mineral notes pop up later, though hops, strangely, do not.
Light-to-moderate heft inside the mouth, couples well with an elevated carbonation. This shows no signs of being of bolstered strength, alcohol-wise.
Bland, dilute, yet inoffensive.

Though I would have hoped for more in my namesake beverage.

Maybe Hair of the Dog will try their hand at "Ryan".

The label bears the signature of Ryan Gostomski. It pours a slightly hazy, yellow body topped by a full and frothy bright white head that holds quite well and leaves some nice lace. The nose is of the 'generic' beer variety with a sweetly grainy note but no noticeable hops. The body is medium/full with a fine and moderate carbonation that's lightly crisp on the tongue. The flavor expresses a sweet grainy maltiness that's nicely balanced by a supportive bitterness. There's a very light touch of floral hop flavor but the malt is clearly dominant. It finishes lightly dry with some residual grainy maltiness and a very light touch of herbal hop flavor. The somewhat elevated level of alcohol (6.2%ABV) is completely hidden. Nicely done and very clean.
