This is the same recipe as Elba, only it goes through a two-day sour mashing process to add tartness and sourness to the beer. The ABV is also slightly higher.
The beer pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. The aroma has quite a bit of wheat and grains of paradise in it, as well as some nice lemony tartness. A very nice aroma, reminiscent to that of a Berliner Weiss.
The flavor also has some very nice tartness to it. There are some nice lemongrass and grains of paradise notes, all complimented by a strong wheat component. The beer is extremely refreshing and would be the perfect beer to drink on a hot summer day.
Thin body and low to medium carbonation.
