Copenhagen 26/3 2016. Can brought home from Tenerife. Purchased in minmarket in the harbour by Los Gigandes. The austere face of whom I presume is the Queen is looking back on me from the can.

Pours pale yellow with big white head. Settles as 1 cm thick creamy layer of foam. Moderate lacing on the side of the glass.

Aroma is malty sweet with some lemonadelike notes. Quite sugary.

Medium strong carbonation and watery palate.

Flavor is fortunately not as sweet as the smell. Does contain som malty sweetness but also a light bitterness which helps a little.

They declare on the can that this is "Authentica cerveza Canaria". This might be true - but it does not promise well for future consumption of Canarian beer.

330ml can from Stop & Shop Supermercado, Tenerife (€0.69):
Pale gold & clear with a foamy white head & some bubbles on top. Generic lager malts & cereal, a pretty cheap nose with a slightly skunky taste & some corn sweetness at the end. Crisp, thin & basic - a shocker.
