This beer pours a dark gold with ΒΌ finger of off-white foam. The nose is a pleasant mix of floral hops sprinkled with grapefruit and husky grain.
Entry is filled with abundant prickly carbonation mercilessly stabbing at the base of the tongue. Midtaste is a mixture of husky grain and one-dimensional piney hops. The finish shows a heavy hop load which lingers for quite some time after the swallow.
Something is amiss with this brew...maybe the water? Not something I'd run out to try again in the near future.
