I should have taken a picture of the poster for upload purposes but according to the bartender it's a drawing of the head brewer who is apparently an arrogant jerk. The picture looks like the Marlboro Man. It is in fact an hommage/knock off of Arrogant Bastard.
It pours a reddish orange that is very clear. Nice white-ish head that has some nice retention and lacing. I attribute this to the massive amounts of residual sugar in the beer, kinda like the real Arrogant Bastard.
Aroma and flavor are similar to the Stone version but this is a bit more citrusy (hops?) with orange at the forefront. Heavy on the malt and candy flavors with a moderate amount of bitterness. With all the complexity it is difficult to pick out what is hops and what is excessive specialty grains.
The body is a bit thinner than Arrogant Bastard but thats a good thing in my opinion. Since I have a particular disdain for Arrogant Bastard, and since this is so similar, it follows that I do not like this beer much. The converse is true too (ie. if you like one then you'll probably like the other).
