a - pours a nice deep, dark looking brown with an equally impressive dirty, but soft looking thick layer of head
s - light notes of coco, dark chocolate...some roasted malts...
t - again, somewhat subtle on the flavor...letting it warm up to see how it opens up..but the presence of a coco/chocolate poweder is evident...some bitterness - maybe a dark chocolate? slightest hint of mocha..
m - pretty decent... creamy medium bodied beer...
o - pretty good offering.. sent to me via a fellow trader whom lives in the neighborhood of the brewery.. thaks for the experience!

Had a couple pours of this at Winterfest.
A- Pours a nice black color. Half finger brown head shows medium retention. Nice sheeting lacing on the sides of the glass.
S- Lots of bitter dark baker's chocolate in the front of this. Mint comes through from the middle on toward the ending. It pretty much smells like a Thin Mint melted.
T- This beer is sweet. Nice sweet chocolate notes in the front of the beer. This turns from a bitter brewer's chocolate to more of a sweet milk chocolate flavor. The middle of the beer was mint forward which was nice at first but a little on the strong side. The ending of the beer shows a balance between the mint and the chocolate. A nice minty sweet chocolate flavor is all there is in the ending. This beer tastes amazing.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Mint and chocolate are the only flavors left on the palate and long into the aftertaste. This beer was balanced for what it said it was going to be. No off flavors were present in the beer. Medium drying on the palate from the alcohol.
D- This beer was drinkable but a little sweet to be a everyday or nightly drinker. A nice beer for a pint or two but then it needs to switched to something else. Oh well...a fantastic first beer from this brewery. I wish them all the luck in the world...but it doesn't look like they will need it brewing stuff like this!

a- Completely opaque coffee black, dark 1/4 inch head, good retention. Head was still good after leaving a half full growler in the fridge overnight.
s- chocolate and natural mint
t- Lots of dark chocolate and a good balance of malts with mint in the background and in the finish. Very nicely balanced natural mint. Very little bitterness.
m- full bodied, creamy, good carbonation level
d- At first, when I saw Mint Chocolate Stout on the board, I though that it sounded like an overload. (Mint and beer doesn't seem like something that I would like.) I was wrong. The dark chocolate was so good and creamy texture that the mint was a really good addition. Good with dinner but even better for dessert.
