Brought a growler home the other night from the taproom.
Appearance: Clear, golden-orange colouring.
Scent: Toasty, sweet apple smell.
Taste: Malty flavour to start and finishes with a rich, fruity flavour. You definitely do not realize that you are consuming a bier with an ABV of 8.6%!
Overall, one of my favorite biers from this brewery.

The Trippelle, which is a Bronze Medal Winner for Bier Brewery is a smooth, Belgian tripel.
The scent to me, was slightly vanilla. I'm not sure if this was due to the mix of candy sugar and malts with the brew or not, but it it isn't an overpowering. Same with the taste. The sweetness is presence, but doesn't go overboard like some tripels I have experienced that end up with a banana like flavor.
The ABV is higher than most of Bier Brewery's brews, which I have found is the same with most of this style so drinking a pint of this make get to your head quickly. The IBU count is a nice low 15.
In the end, Trippelle is a coat your mouth kind of beer, with a deceiving light color pigment and gives you a kiss of sugar to send you off.
