Roasty Coffee and smoke in the aroma, so much malt and very little hop. A lovely Porter

When poured, Dred Brown gives a nice foamy head.
The smell right off the bat is a dark chocolate aroma which is followed through on the taste along with additional coffee flavoring. Absolutely not hops or bitterness in this beer.
It was almost a little to heavy on the maltiness when I had it in my mouth, but still a very nice, robust porter.
The coloring is consistent to not only porter style brew but with it's name... a very dark rich brown.
Which looked very well in my growler that I took home.

grabbed at the brewery a couple weeks ago. poured cold from the growler a cola-like black to a founder's brewing goblet with a big bubbled, fairly long lasting off white head leaving spotty lace to the rim.
aroma of creamy cocoa and a bit of smoke and espresso.
big dark semi-sweet chocolate up front, creamy subtle espresso, graham cracker, smoke in the wayback following the nose almost exactly.
light bodied for the style, super creamy and smooth. slick to the tongue. sweet, no bitter.
overall, a very nice porter, and an interesting take on the style.
