This growler was filled yesterday afternoon. The beer pours a medium bodied chestnut brown in clor that turns to a darker shade after collecting in my glass. The head is minimal and reduces to a slight khaki lacing. The nose smells of fresh roasted coffee beans with a touch of chocolate. Despite the generic description, it's really impressive because of how fresh and aromatic it is. The flavor is superb. The coffee in the aftertaste is perfect. The flavor consists of creamy chocolate, creamed coffee, and fresh coffee beans. It is just very, very well done. It drinks medium in body with a good amount of carbonation. This is a top notch porter. If you have the opportunity to try this, buy a growler. This may be Bier's best beer yet.

grabbed a couple weeks ago at the brewery and poured cold tonight from the growler near black to a founder brewing goblet with a full two finger foamy, short lasting tan head leaving a sheet of quickly receding lace after each sip.
great big coffee and sweet dark chocolate aroma.
sweet, chocolatey espresso roast forward, with a wee bit of smoke and graham cracker in the wayback.
a little lighter bodied than expected, though not to the point of distraction. sweet, with only a hint of coffee bitter.
overall, a very good porter, nice coffee treatment, not to much, not too little.
