Generously shared by Koelshtrinker on 4/10/2013 at Braustelle. Served in a wine glass. Pours a burnt orange hue with a semi-hazy clarity and a bright white head that dissipates into a soapy froth with a considerable amount of textured lacing. Nose is complex - floral and citrusy. Some malt and fruity esters come across at the back. Alcohol/ethanol also comes across as it warms. Taste is really quite nice - malty/toasty and floral with a pleasant alcohol character. There's quit a lot going on with the hops, but the malt nicely balances it out. Mouthfeel is medium-light, but closer to medium, with an even carbonation and a pleasant warming character from the alcohol. Overall, interesting and complex, but extremely maltcentric. The hops are very floral and add a nice accent, but the malt is so forward on this beer that it is a little too style inconsistent.
